To strengthen solidarity and collaboration among sculpture enterprises in Zhejiang Province, further improve the quality of public landscape art across the province, and promote the sound development of the sculpture industry, the Preparatory Meeting for the Enterprise Committee of Zhejiang Sculpture Society was held on the afternoon of October 19.

Long Xiang, President of Zhejiang Sculpture Society; Zhang Xinyu and Shen Guohai, Vice Presidents; Zhang Xuan, Deputy Secretary-General, together with representatives from 15 outstanding sculpture enterprises across Zhejiang Province, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Xinyu.

Vice President Shen Guohai introduced the basic information of the participating sculpture enterprises. Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Xuan read out theCity Sculpture Enterprise Convention of Zhejiang Sculpture Society and the Joint Statement of the Enterprise Committee of Zhejiang Sculpture Society.

During the meeting, representatives of various sculpture enterprises conducted in-depth discussions with experts from the Society on current challenges facing the sculpture industry. By a show of hands, the meeting approved 5 enterprises as standing director units and 10 enterprises as director units of the Enterprise Committee.

Standing Director Units of the Enterprise Committee (in no particular order): Hangzhou Dikesheng Culture and Art Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Hantianshi Culture Development Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Chenwu Sculpture Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Shengyuan Culture and Art Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Qianzhuo Space Art Co., Ltd.

Director Units of the Enterprise Committee (in no particular order): Hangzhou Jinshi Plastic Art Engineering Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Huawai Sculpture Art Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Ziming Sculpture Engineering Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Xinhuang Sculpture Art Engineering Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Boda Sculpture Art Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Oil Painting and Sculpture Academy, Hangzhou Wujiu Yijie Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Yuhuan Huyun Cultural and Creative Development Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Meiyi Sculpture Landscape Engineering Co., Ltd., Ningbo Yifeng Sculpture Co., Ltd.

Subsequently, Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Xuan announced the work plan of the Enterprise Committee for the next stage based on issues raised by each director unit:

1. Launch industry training programs;

2. Promote excellent industry cases;

3. Plan and organize a city sculpture fine works exhibition for member units;

4. Initiate the annual selection of inferior public artworks in Zhejiang Province;

5. Carry out the selection of high-quality enterprises of Zhejiang Sculpture Society;

6. Draft the Group Standard for Sculpture Design and Production in Zhejiang Province (tentative name);

7. Further standardize the sculpture market and pricing mechanism;

8. Improve the staff supervision system for sculpture enterprises;

9. Optimize the professional title evaluation system for frontline practitioners in the sculpture industry.

President Long Xiang stated that the establishment of the Enterprise Committee aims to foster sound, healthy and sustainable development among the committee, sculptors and sculpture production enterprises. The 15 director units selected based on comprehensive factors including professional performance, market reputation and industry influence are representative enterprises in Zhejiang’s sculpture industry. They should set benchmark standards for the industry with exemplary practices, enhance industry cohesion, provide better services for sculpture enterprises across the province, and contribute to the cultural development of Zhejiang Province.
